IoT Evolution Expo 2020: The Thinking IoT Arrives

By Smart City Sentinel News

The industry’s longest running event launches a new theme for Florida event focused on implementing the Thinking IoT to move businesses into the new connected world.

Trumbull, CT – April 24, 2019 – TMC and Crossfire Media today announced the launch of IoT Evolution Expo 2020 being held February 12 – 14, 2020 at the Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward Country Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As the industry’s longest running event, IoT Evolution Expo 2020 will feature new and unique experiences dedicated to arming the enterprise with IoT solutions and actionable intelligence for business success.

“The path forward for IoT is clear, and it is Intelligence,” said Ken Briodagh, Editorial Director, IoT Evolution. “IoT Evolution 2020: The Thinking IoT Arrives will examine this path as it applies to Smart Cities, the Intelligent Edge, Open Source IoT Solutions, and the Industrial IoT. We look forward to digging into AI, Machine Learning and Intelligent Analytics from the Cloud to the Edge at what is sure to be our biggest IoT Evolution ever.”

This year’s conference program has an expanded focus on case studies and customer implementations that highlight the power of edge computing, AI, ML and other breakthrough digital technologies. Attendees will experience the power of actionable intelligence and how that will transform their business models and their bottom line. Collocated events, The Industrial IoT Conference, The Intelligent Edge Expo and The Smart City Event cover targeted opportunities.

“The focus of IoT Evolution 2020 is clearly on where we are seeing the impact of IoT.  As 5G and AI technologies roll out, the goals of IoT go beyond the addition of connectivity to localized sensor networks, but to computational capabilities at the edge and in the cloud,” said Carl Ford, CEO, Crossfire Media, executive director of content, IoT Evolution. “The vision for IoT solutions is on digital transformation from the reactive monitoring of enterprises to the predictive capabilities to expand solutions and new services.”

New things coming to IoT Evolution Expo:

  • In order to provide the best education, our editorial team is on the ground meeting with and interviewing the companies, municipalities and manufacturers who are actively deploying innovative solutions.  Those end users are then invited to speak and provide insight to their colleagues.
  • IoT Evolution Expo 2020 is collocated with the #TechSuperShow which is made up of, ITEXPO, Future of Work Expo, The Blockchain Event, MSP Expo & SD-WAN Expo. With this collocation, companies can send their entire team for a year’s worth of invaluable education.
  • IoT Evolution Expo is launching The Smarty Awards which will honor a variety of end users with the top deployments across industries. The award winners will be announced and honored at a formal dinner during the conference.
  • As a part of the #TechSuperShow, attendees, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors will have more time to connect than ever before with a new networking event each night of the conference.
