SenRa, a PAN India Low-Power Wide-Area Networks (LPWANs) provider for long range-based (LoRa-based) Internet of Things (IoT) applications and a member of LoRa Alliance, has been making headlines since its successful implementation of LPWANs in various smart cities across India, and this week announced a strategic partnership with Imtac India, a leading provider of business technology solutions.

Continuing its drive to build Smart Cities across India, SenRa hopes to bring innovative end-to-end solutions like smart street lighting and tracking to the largest urban areas in India, which are growing exponentially.

SenRa builds more than one city network per month on average.

Imtac, under the brand name “Empyreal” has begun working with leading smart cities projects in India as one of the largest technology and services companies in the country.

Recently, they executed a technology of GPS-enabled IoT wearables that can monitor the attendance of sanitation staff.  Imtac has been implementing with smart lighting for more than 3 years.

SenRa recently announced its alliance with SmartEnds, a hardware designed company aims to build industrial sensors and related products.

Knowing that SenRa has deployed Long-Range Wide-Area Networks (LoRaWAN) across 23 cities and by the end of 2018 aims to deploy in 30 cities, Imtac is able to reduce the cost of solutions, and bring sustainable solutions to India’s IoT market which is expected to rise to $15 billion by 2020, according to NASSCOM.

The Indian government supports smart cities development projects, connected by LoRaWAN networks to ensure a stable electricity supply and manage clean water systems.

SenRa CEO Ali Hosseini quoted “Cities are looking for the right platforms and trusted partners to help accelerate their digital transformation.” He added, “With this partnership, SenRa and Imtac will be utilizing each other’s strengths to create and deploy India tailored IoT solutions”.

Air Quality, Security, water pumps, and electricity distribution systems are necessary to run a large building or infrastructure. Imtac's Smart Building & Infrastructure solution assists in the automation of these sub-systems to make the city smart.

Leveraging smart technologies like LoRaWAN helps the Government and cities reach their goals - keeping costs low and improving efficiencies of the overall process of developing smart cities.
