Assurant Appoints Jeff Unterreiner as President, U.S. Connected Living

Assurant, a global provider of risk management solutions, recently announced the appointment of Jeff Unterreiner as President, U.S. Connected Living. He is responsible for ensuring operational excellence and leading business and client development opportunities in the U.S.

“Our growth in the U.S. has been considerable over the last several years, which is why we are dedicating leadership to this market with Jeff’s appointment,” said Manny Becerra, president, Global Connected Living. “Jeff has been successful in several critical leadership roles at Assurant and is the right person to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our clients and their customers in the U.S., while we continue to expand our global growth initiatives.” 

Previously, Unterreiner served as SVP, Global Connected Living team at Assurant. He focused on helping clients deliver a better customer experience, increase revenue and build loyalty through end-to-end product lifecycle management solutions, including support, protection and logistics offerings.

“It’s a time of great opportunity in our business” said Unterreiner. “We’ve built a great deal of momentum across our markets, especially in the U.S.  By developing innovative solutions that help consumers get the most out of their connected products, we’re also able to deliver competitive advantage to our clients.”

Unterreiner has held several other roles at Assurant including overseeing the strategy, client management, business development, marketing, channel development and point-of-sale execution for the extended protection and payment protection businesses. He also has served as the division’s chief marketing officer for Europe and as vice president for strategic business development. Unterreiner began his career at Assurant in 1996.
